The zucchini plants are bracketed by garlic, red peppers, and chives 
(also some violets -- wherever there is dirt, there are violets). 
They are all about to be left to their own devices while we go to 
Iowa; a neighbor will water; I have warned her about the villany of 
this variety of squash. I hope she takes me seriously! I don't want 
to come home and find her lifeless body surmounted by -- oops, I 
almost said "thighs."  Thanks for the recipe, Liz. Know we'll enjoy 
it. We are so fond of E Indian food that I just bought 
(inadvertently)  2 copies of the same Indian recipe book! Pat
