Our local horticulturists (and the trusty County Agent) all but forbid the planting of St Augustine grass in our rain-shy area. They recommend "mowing your weeds" or if you must have a real lawn, recommend Bermuda despite its invasiveness. George says St Augustine doesn't need water, and as Allen preaches, County Agents are never wrong. Won't someone please solve this conundrum for me? Pat PS - The squash are blooming but look puny otherwise. Something seems to be attacking them. More later.
