Well, as I left to go mall walking yesterday morning, I peeked into Ray's have-a-heart trap and there, big as life, was one of the biggest racoons I've ever seen. He had tried to get out by digging up as much dirt that was under the cage as he could, but to no avail. Ray put him into the back of my van and drove 30 miles over the river (the Mo. river) and let it out. Hopefully that will be tne end of our pilfering. Still have about 20 gold fish left in the pond, the worse damage ws to the water lilies. We bought 16 bags of pine bark mulch and Ray got that spread out in the front beds. My, what a difference it makes - really does look soooo much neater etc.! almost ready for the white glove inspection this evening. I even baked a batch of oatmeal choco chip cookies - with 95+ degree heat! Now, after all this work, just hope it doesn't rain the "tour" out! Barb Barb Rothenberger Columbia, Mo.
