The Japanese are great turnip lovers. Not the tough, woody "thangs" that
many people in the west deem fit only for pig fodder. But tender, sweet,
roots that are barely the size of golf balls. In the last several years,
Japanese breeders have released seed for some really great new varieties.
Look in Oriental seed catalogs....also Shepherds, Cook's Garden, etc.

Then grab yourself some konbu and yuzi and make some Kabu No
Sokuseiki-Zuke.
