I think I'd put them in the basement, were I you, and see about getting one of those hose attachments that fit on the kitchen faucet to use for watering occasionally so you don't have to haul up and down stairs in one gallon increments. Even if it doesn't reach everything in the basement, you could use a watering can without having to ascend and descend stairs time after time. Margaret
