Hi Matt, and everyone. All of our hurricane preparations are ready.
I've got the laundry done, plenty of food in the house, the generator was
checked, we've gotten money as the banks may not be open for many days,
and the ATMs won't work for as long as we don't have electricity, everything
outside that is loose has been put away and secured.
It's not bad outside now, with some wind and rain, but the hurricane eye is
now supposed to make landfall just south of us this afternoon. Two years
ago, we got direct hits from Bertha and Fran, so we've been through this
before, and the aftermath is awful. I don't know how long the power or
phone
service will be out, but I wanted to drop a line and let everyone know that
we *very much* appreciate the prayers for us in this area, and the thoughts
of our friends.
I'll check back in with y'all when the power and phone lines come back up.
I may be able to give y'all updates on the storm if anyone is interested...
