I'll second MaPat's (asidv@fbg.net) welcome. The Hill County is indeeed a
Paradise. But you better plan on 8-10' high deer fencing if you have any
hopes of keeping a garden....wildflower or otherwise. Gillespie County has
more deer than any other place in the U.S.A.

You also might want to invest in a German pick. You will be dealing with an
average of 2" of topsoil on top of pure limestone or caleche. Digging holes
for planting is not a lot of fun. Plan on moving a lot of rock!
