Allen, Thanks for the info on wildgardens list, etc. I don't think I'm going to sign on to another list just this moment, but it sounds great. The reason I'm hesitating is that I've got to go down to Texas in a couple of weeks to continue working on family estate stuff. Then I'll go back for Thanksgiving and Christmas. All this travelling back and forth makes it hard to keep up; tho', I do have e-mail down there. After Christmas I should have more time to read from lists and begin to learn more. I also have two of the Wasowski books--in addition to the one you mentioned: Native Texas Gardens. The latter is where I read about the building envelope. Unfortunately, I left Native Texas Plants with my accountant in Texas last April. I intend to get it back this next trip, but I don't know if I want to bring it back up here. I have so many books to pack and move already. On the other hand, I can spend the gloomy Northwest Evenings studying and reading. You have no idea how much I wish I had a magic wand that would just let me zap myself and all my stuff home. Now! But alas, I've promised my dean that I would stay here till the end of our biennium budget cycle (June 30, 1999). Anyhoo, thanks so much for the information. I will keep it till I can use it. Vicki
