Sorry to hear that you, Louisiana and your garden aren't doing so great. Do hope you feel better today. I can't think of a nastier combination than sinusitis, a mosquito infestation and a hot, humid, soggy climate. Now here in the glorious northest we are having our second chilly day. It's about 58F but bright and sunny and just about perfect if you have time to dig in your garden. No perspiration. The weather is supposed to continue clear and cool for a week. We could use some of that rain you're using up down there. In bloom right now are 50 or so border dahlias that I grew from seed, a few different asters (one from Debbie Greene, Hella Lacy, which is a stunning purple), chrysanthemums, feverfew, a gorgeous light pink anemone - more of which I will add, I like them so much, the butterfly bushes and the annuals, of course. Also, several varieties of reblooming irises are in full bloom and it is wonderful! Still harvesting tomatoes and a new crop of lettuces and arugula are ready to harvest, too. Life is good...do feel better, George! Cheryl Cheryl Schaefer schaefer @epix.net Zone 5 in the fabulous Finger Lakes of NY
