So they > are all varieties of beets. Yeup. I find that swiss chard does taste different than the leaves from red beets but that the greens from golden beets taste like swiss chard. I usually cut the leaves from golden beets twice before letting them regrow to form the bulb. That's not what books recommend but it works for me here. Neither beets nor chard grew well in my garden on the gulf coast. Liz
