[gardeners] Weather in England

Mary in England, snow already? Do the gales blow in from the 
Atlantic, or is your prevailing wind from the Continent...?

I'll be in Ireland in May, with a stopoff in London, but there's
no predicting what kind of weather we will be faced with.. By
then you probably will be in France, no? 

We've cooled down 10 degrees, so it feels more seasonal. 
We cold weather folks could never get the Holiday Spirit
going without mufflers and mittens, and a laying in of our
winter's supply of cider mullings. I put up lots of hearty soups
in the freezer, and think meat-and-potatoes, filling enough to
warm the cockles of my always hungry hubby's heart. He's the
kind of guy who walks out of a restaurant dying to taste 
everyone's dish. In fact, I've heard him say that he doesn't think
he's ever been full. . .
