Hi, Mary-Anne -- I've been twice to the Chelsea Show on
opening day, a special treat. I don't think we have anything that
even comes close to it in scope and presentation.. This show
extends the profession of garden landscaping into the unreal.
I travel with about 22 of our local Master Gardeners which guarantees
everyone's total immersion in the trip. We've been to England (in a
big circle around London), to Scotland, and next spring will
do Ireland & Wales. I've also done a gardens trip with the Brooklyn
Botanic Garden, to south and west England, even on to Penzance!
Bottom line is that I feel strongly that viewing well designed gardens
must broaden everyone's horizons -- and will often lead to
imporvements in one's own back yard...
