David, I love weeping trees, and have 3.

But about the blue feature, a word of warning: I also have a
perfect (may the Saints preserve it!!!) blue spruce, about 12 ft
tall and 7 ft wide. When my whole property gets it's early hort
oil spray in spring (to kill off overwintering insect eggs, etc.),
they always avoid spraying the blue spruce and the Blue Hill
junipers. They told me that the blue is actually a soluble colored
wax, and if I spray them, they will all be just plain green for the rest
of the year, until new growth arrives the following spring.
