One thing about e-mail. A message sent hither just might turn up thither. In one such message, from Margaret Lauterbach, I was astonished to learn (1) that I had left this group "in a huff" (2) that I wouldn't understand about Idaho, and (3) that water scarcity is unknown to me. For the record: Firstly, I am still a member of gardeners and if I do anything in a huff I have the courage to do publicly and/or to the face of those involved. Secondly, as my birth certificate will attest, I was born and bred in Idaho, resident in what was known as Mud Lake until someone re-named it Terreton. Still have a lot of family there. And water scarcity? Since January 1 of this year we have received 0.23 inches of rain -- that is, less than one-quarter of an inch -- and we have a well. We think twice before we flush. Would that all would think twice before flushing -- johns, janes, or whatever. Pat in Texas PS. If Penny was offended by my queries about oriental cookery, my profuse apologies. No offense was ever intended. I'm surprised Margaret would bring it up now -- it must be three or four months since I sent any message or post to (or about) Penny.
