[gardeners] OT - mail lost

I walked into the other room today to talk to the plumber, and when I
returned to the computer, a bunch of mail had vanished.  It's not in the
trash file, and I have no idea where to look.  I'm using Eudora Light 3.1.
I do know there was a question from a reader there that I needed to answer.
 Poop.  Any help would be much appreciated.  (There was not a power outage,
that came later).  Margaret L
