[gardeners] planting times?

Dear List Memebers,
  This question is for any of my list-mates here in the DC
greater 
suburban area:  what date are you planning to start your spring 
planting???  The County Extension Agent told me that the
official last 
frost date is 28 April, but surely we are not going to wait that
long to 
plant???  I will be putting in raspberries, blueberries,
blackberries, 
strawberries, and rosa rugosas this spring.  Any suggestions for
the 
timing of planting them would be greatly appreciated.
