[gardeners] Nursery hopping, the weekend, and stuff

I must admit I'm a tad bit jealous of all you lucky nursery shoppers. My
neighbor and I traditionally go together on Mother's day, but I need
nothing, and just couldn't let myself go... as we all know, a GA can not
leave a nursery emptyhanded.

But, I did have about the most perfect Mother's day. My fingernails are so
dirty, the manicurist is going to charge me triple tomorrow. Today was the
first whole day I had to actually get into the gardens and clean stuff up.
I weeded and trimmed up several beds, it was such a high, that I couldn't
stop. I set a leisurely pace and rotated chores often and had all day
stamina. Ahhhh it feels so good to look upon the gardens that I love so well.

You may think it odd that a GA can say I need nothing from a nursery, but
I've got everything started under lights. You would not believe how much
stuff I've got growing. Saturday I had to dig a huge cold frame. I got a
lot of things out there including my chiles, tomatos, hollyhocks, grasses,
and watermelon.

I hope everyone had a good mother's day!

Cynthia
