Why get rid of them? (I agree that they are as cute as they can be.) BUT,
the holes are getting so bad that we twist our ankles if we hit them
wrong, and in the lawn itself, it's hard to push the mower over the areas
that are riddled with holes.

The cat thing sounds like a good idea, but we have probably about a half
dozen stray cats that hang around our house, with seemingly no effect on
the chipmunks.  :-/
