Hi Gardeners,
    Boy aphids are a tough problem. They have host plants that they over
winter with. The ants will protect them from predators and move them
around. Some adults have wings and can fly. Some offspring are born
already pregnant.
    One of the ways that you can help control aphids is to control ants
near or in the garden. My extension agent said to use the insecticidal
soap in a hose attachment to knock them off the plants.
