. Matt, that was an easy fix! Many thanks -- and I'll pass it on. I am advised that the most important thing you can do is to close down your computer before midnight on 12/31 and morning on 1/01/2000 -- and almost all modern computers will breeze right thru. The reasoning is technical, but this does give the computer a chance to carry thru by itself. They further add that if you boot up the computer let's say at 12:10am, year 2000, and it still says 1999, you can then manually change the date to 2000. Remember, this is applicable to a modern computer -- a Pentium or Pentium II -- and not necesarily to an older one. I have no instructions on handling the Apple. I wish us ALL luck! Penny, NY
