You might want to take a few softwood cuttings, too, while you're at it...just
in case you lose the plant.  Buddleias root easily.  Just treat them like rose
cuttings, and cut away about half to two-thirds of the leaves you leave on the
cutting, to put less stress on them.  In about a month, you'll have backups to
give away when you realize your buddleia survived.  :)
