Ron, I happen to use "bird netting" for snow guards in the
wintertime, to keep the wet and heavy snow from breaking
branches on certain trees and bushes. It is made of
extraordinarily strong, almost invisible black thread, and
comes in a sheet 14 ft by 14 ft, which can be easily cut into
any size one might need. Brand name is Dalen's Professional
BIRD-X protective netting for fruit. 3/4" polypropylene mesh.

It can be used to drape over small trees, for grapes or berries,
or to tie over cherry trees, for instance.

Lasts for YEARS. Simply remove after fruit is finished, and
store away from sunlight.

Even today, the cost should be less than $10, as far as I can
figure out. Nurseries usually carry it. In a pinch, contact
Dalen Products, Inc., 11110 Gilbert Drive, Knoxville, Tn, 37932.
And if it's too late for this year, I would buy it now for next
year!
