Hi, Ron -- I too started with 2 artichoke plants, but my climate is obviously from Mars, or else the chokes cried for more sunshine, or we watered (at the base) too well, for we got to harvest only one artichoke from plant #1, and now, a month later, we have cut choke #1 from plant #2... Yes, there are still 2 more chokes growing on plant #2..... The 1st one we ate last month looked and tasted exactly like the store-bought ones. No special flavor, but the shape was right. Last night's choke was weird: there were only 1/3rd as many leaves, there was NO heart, and the actual veggie required double the pressure cooking time to make it edible. Any comments...?
