Wild turkeys may be anywhere now, guys. Fish & Game depts. have swapped them around. I think ours came from North Dakota. Audubon members who feed birds at their mountain cabin have seen a lot of them, but I haven't seen them in the wild. Remember, a lot of our game animals are not natives. Pheasants are Chinese, and Chukars are Hungarian partridges. They've transplanted some Michigan fish into some of Idaho's northern lakes. Maybe muskellunge, but I hope not. They fish for those with live baby ducks attached to lines with hooks. Sob. Inside the back cover of the Nov-Dec Organic Gardening magazine, there's an article on and sketch of a wild turkey.
