I've had the best of them all, 2.5 years in naval aviation, flying as crew on propellor driven transports, 1.2 years at sea aboard destroyers and destroyer escorts, and 14 years as an airborne soldier. I much preferred the flying myself. I wanted to be a fighter pilot as so many young lads did but couldn't hack the physical. Bad teeth was the main complaint the Navy had.
