Need some thougths from long time northern growers

I am bordeline Zone 4a/5b

I normaly start my cole crop seeds for mid April plant out  plus a few =
special tomatoes and peppers. =20

BUT  I usually don't have 6ft of snow on the ground  at this time =
either. With more snow falling ??

 I don't have space for 150; 1 gal pots under grow lights

Any thoughts?
