Hello, Penny,

It's good to hear from you again. Since we will be drying a bunch of
'cots, please do send us the recipe for the pork. I have some wonderful
ones with lamb and aprocots to exchange, from various portions of the
Middle East. Did you know that the Latin botanical name for apricot
translates as Armenian plumb?

Last night we canned 4 quarts, but ran out of energy. Tonight we will
both dry a bunch and can some more. I figure we will can and dry
somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 quarts.

We are still enjoying the lime syrup and the passion fruit syrup we made
last year. As a cool, refreshing summer drink, we purchase some club
soda or seltzer, put a bit over ice and pour on the liquid of choice.
Yummy! To jazz it up a little, a squeeze of lemon juice does wonders.

Thanks for your very kind reply.

Ron
