Hi, Lucinda, Right you are. We get one hard frost a year some years; other years, not a one. The nectarine variety we grow, Panamint, is one that has the fewest chilling hours required. The fruit is luscious and sweet, and we are lucky to be able to grow it here in L.A. Ron
