IIRC  the last use of  DDT  was in the last 90's (95 to 97)in the ST of
Washington..

Chloradane(sp) a soil bug killer
similar to todays Durban/diazinon soil granuales  was also used in DDT
times.

Fla also has a problem with Rotenone and excess nitrate run-offs also..
