I have some hakone grass, but it's new this year...still settling into place. It hasn't shown much of a presence yet even though it is growing nicely. A Zone five gardener in northern Pennsylvania says that it overwinters reliably in her garden. She gets snow cover most of the winter; my part of Southern Indiana is subject to brown winters. Given her experience, I expect mulch with good drainage will help it survive in my area. :) Barb in Southern Indiana Zone 5/6 dorsettm@scin.quik.com Time is what keeps things from happening all at once.
