George, the latest -- American Air laid off 20,000 employees and
therefore closed down all of its regional local offices (except for 9)
and so when I got there, and plunked my 50c in the parking meter,
there was no longer an office!  They said that because I am changing
carriers in Detroit, they could not e-mail me an e-ticket. Ye gods!!!
They OWN TWA, for heaven's sake!  But they assure me that I will
get on the plane....
