Bargyla, we LOVE the snowy season!  It's beautiful, exhilerating, 
refreshing -- my hubby adores hand shoveling the snow, and I
am completely fulfilled standing by the window and watching
it fall.....  it's rather like a miracle to see the ground turn white, 
and the bushes slowly become covered over -- and with the
proper clothing on, it is also just heavenly to walk in our 
countryside and admire it all. 

California has too long a dry season for us -- we're used to 
more green everywhere than you are. 

Besides, I wouldn't want to trade our hurricanes for your
earthquakes.
