Hello, again, Penny,

A "firebug" is some self-important pyromaniac who goes around when the
brush is tinder-dry, humidity is near or in the single digits, and the
Santa Anas are blowing.

Once in a great while, our brush fires are caused by a spark from a
muffler, welding torch, or even from brush clearance that has
"backfired,", but the chief cause of fires in our hills is the
self-aggrandizing fool who derives some sort of diabolical satisfaction
from watching our hills go up in smoke, along with many peoples homes
and prize possessions.

Are you in Rancho Mirage right now?
