Hi, Matt -- I suspect that I failed to thank you for your long
description 
of the lariope.   Mine are a bright green with a white stripe and a tall,
blue flower spike. I'm not sure that this fits those which you had 
mentioned.  They are flourishing in wide open shade. 

As soon as I can snatch the time, I intend to investigate .....
