Miz Anne picked our sole surviving Fuyu persimmon yesterday and we sliced it thin and ate it out of
hand. Excellent eating, even Sleepy Dawg liked her share. I like the Fuyu much better than the other
kinds of oriental persimmon because you can eat them crisp and not mushy ripe. Hopefully we will get
more than one the next time it bears. The other (can't remember the name) oriental persimmons bear
annually around here and we have several friends who have them so we can get all of those we want.
