George, seems impossible that you are harvesting already!  
We're still too cold to put the annuals in the ground . . . 

My son-in-law Gino, down in St.Louis, says there are 4 figs on
his Italian green fig tree, just planted last year!  They are a
fraction warmer than we are, perhaps zone 6-1/2, and the fig 
tree is in a sheltered spot, lots of sun and much rain. Is it
possible to see figs growing this early, or does he have 
cankers on that tree...?
