We are hotter than normal for the year and I cheated on the peppers - I bought good sized seedlings
at the feed store and kept them in the greenhouse for awhile. I was surprised that they started
producing so soon myself. 

Yeah, your SIL should have figs on the tree in St. Louis already. Once the leaves appear in the
spring the figs aren't far behind. Our fig tree is loaded at the moment.

Got a cold front moving through today, low seventies in temps and we are getting sporadic rain
showers, first rain in 6 weeks. Yay rain.
