What they say about the Golden Years is to get with the no-till program,
Penny. Zap your weedpatch and cover your garden area with deep mulch, then
pull the mulch aside to plant. Once things emerge, start pulling the mulch
back around your plants so weeds don't grow. Ruth Stout wrote "How to Have
a Green Thumb without an Aching Back" years ago. The book is out of print,
and if you can't get it from your library, buy Lee Reich's new book,
"Weedless Gardening." His methods are much the same, and this book is only
$8.95 paperback. You and Jimmie can learn new tricks...You could even grow
Asian greens. Margaret L
