Hello, again, George, The cereus family is a large and diverse one, to be sure, and can take all sorts of shapes. Their blossoms, however, are all reasonably similar in structure, so far as my limited knowledge of the genus is concerned. I have seen cereus plants like mine being cultivated by members of California Rare Fruit Growers on wooden trellises, for their fruit. Indeed, there in a "budding" industry out in the Sonoran Desert and Mojave to cultivate these exotic fruits for the "gourmet" market. But I am sure there are many, many forms that plants in this genus can take. Ron
