We've ridden out worse hurricanes Craig. We don't have to make preparations when a storm blows this way because we keep the same preparations year around. When we bought this house I installed lug bolts on all the windows and doors, bought treated plywood and cut to fit. Numbered all the pieces as to the door/window they go on and then install them with lug screws and washers. Takes about 2 hours to button up the house. Yesterday I made a brace for the steel garage doors (just installed last year) and can have that in place in about 15 minutes. Three 5 gallon jugs of water, a tub full of water to flush toilet with, 3 20 lb propane bottles, gas grill, gas hot plate, dry ice for the freezer and fridge, and we're all set. We'll let y'all know when it's all over. George Craig Watts wrote: > > Gardening content: Picked about a dozen sweet peppers from the two Big > Bertha pepper plants today.
