Hello, Penny,
Odd as it may sound, sinus problems are very common when it is very dry.
The nasal passages dry out and crack, causing a rush of fluids to
compensate.
It is also a time when strep infections can take hold very easily,
because everything is dry, cracked and irritated. At such times, as
during Santa Anas, it is especially wise to wash one's hands before
touching one's face.
