We also are in the midst of a 3-day rain, and we do need it. 

The 2 Castor bean plants have one wilted leaf on top, but are
holding their own with the nights around 30*. I don't expect them
to survive the winter, but i shall leave the roots in the ground until
spring. Yes, and the clematis are still in bloom!
