Miz Anne, Sleepy Dawg and yours truly just rolled into the driveway
about 20 minutes ago. Had a wonderful time at the daughters place, saw
all of our descendants at one time, took lots of pictures, ate lots of
good food, and damned near froze to death. Daughters multi-level house
has 4 bedrooms upstairs that are much overheated and the living room is
a good place to hang meat to age. I finally went and bought a box fan,
put it at the top of the stairs, hung from the ceiling and pointed it
downstairs. Turned on the two ceiling fans on the open level above the
living room and set them to blow down. Finally got the big room warmed
up to where we could turn the little ones loose without their bulky
coats.
Lots of presents for everyone including two manual potato mashers for
me, one very new and modern and one very old and neat. As a matter of
fact I got all kitchen gadgets, most useful, some not so, for my
holiday. My family knows what I like.
