Hi, there,

One amazing sighting came to mind after your email. Years ago, when we were hiking in the Sierra with a bunch of friends, my knee was being "unfriendly," and I chose to say behind on a ridge, watching the rest of our group climb Mt. Vanderver.

Sitting there all alone, I noticed a mountain lion on the outcropping above me, sniffing my scent, while turning around and looking over her shoulder, just as any cat would, and then sniffing again, in disdain, made off, obviously thinking I was not worth the trouble...thank God!

Ron
