Hi, Janni,
 
I would celebrate by cutting a few blossoms for the house, by enjoying those still on the bush, and then cut them back to one of the 5-leaf bracts where the stem/cane is a bit more substantial, to ecourage new growth and bloom.
 
Do you know what type or variety of rose it is?
