[tomato] Growing techniques

Does anyone have special tricks to grow their tomatoes? Do you use wire
cages or sticks, compost or chemical fertilizers? How long is the growing
seasons in your region?

Personnaly I use as much compost as I can make, especially since my
vegetable garden is relatively new and the soil is very heavy. It really
needs a little help. I used to use the wire cage but this year I'll try to
make a tee pee with sticks and grow vine tomatoes (indeterminate). My
plants don't go into the garden until mid june (I live in Canada, Zone
4b...more or less equivalent o US zone 3)
