Laurie I keep most of mine cut off above the first blosoms. It's not going to get as hot so Sun Scald is not a major problem. Byron In Snowy Southern NH 3" today and more on the way down ---------- From: Ian Stoba & Laurie Mandigo-Stoba <stoba@earthlink.net> To: Tomato@GlobalGarden.com Subject: Re: [tomato] One foot per tomato plant growing method Date: Friday, March 12, 1999 6:03 PM This question about one foot spacing brings up another question for me. Since we've just moved, I wonder if someone can tell me if pruning off suckers is advisable in mid Hudson area of New York? In the San Francisco area, we used to do quite a bit of pruning and got great tomatoes, although we didn't prune as dramatically as I've seen some intensive gardeners suggest. Here, I just don't know what to expect the weather to do, other than get hot. Thanks for any advice. Regards, Laurie Wappingers Falls, NY
