>Finally, I read about a peach tomato in Organic Gardening that (surprise!) >looks and tastes somewhat like a peach. Does anyone know where I can get >this seed? This year I'm growing Wapsipinicon Peach. I don't know how it compares to Garden Peach. What I'm growing is smooth, pale yellow in color with slightly fuzzy peach-like skin. The fruits are round and 2-3 inches across. They are sweet and smooth in flavor, with good texture, but like a peach? I don't think so. They taste like tomatoes. I got the seeds from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds. You can order a catalog (which has lots of good seed saving info too) by visiting their web site: http://members.tripod.com/~SEEDS_3/index.html I've been happy with all the tomato (and other vegie) seeds I ordered from them, and their seeds were very inexpensive -- shipping free.
