Thanks for all the helpful replies. Sorry that I didn't mention that I live near Charleston SC, so I guess they need the shade and are in an OK place. I think I'm just going to let them grow and see how tall they get and use a step ladder to pick the fruit. It's not bad for your plants to be so tall....it's their nature to grow that tall.
