Largely from information from this group, I diagnosed blossum drop from too much nitrogen. Note that there was only one plant (beefsteak) , in a crowded (in a WELL DRAINED garden box) set of 5, including an early girl which has already produced > 5 ripe fruit. The other four plants were setting fruit. I think this one was hit too hard with fertilizer. Anyway, because this is a > 2 foot raised bed that is so well drained, I flushed a lot of water by this plant for about 15 mintues on three days. It started setting fruit in one to two weeks. Clearly this is not a controlled trial, but I thought there might be interest in this. -Karl
